A Meaningful Mother’s Day Gift: Help Mothers and their Children Escape Homelessness
Donate to CaringWorks Today
I decided to do something unique this Mother's Day to honor the amazing mothers that I have in my life and remember those who are no longer with us. My mom has been a supportive, loving, and encouraging figure in my life that I am so grateful for every day that I get to spend with her. I'm inspired by my Godson's mom who is a hardworking, devoted, and caring mom who I could not be more proud of. I am also so lucky to have many other mother figures in my life that treat me as their own daughter, many of which have been a part of my life since childhood. Seeing good friends become mothers is a beautiful thing to witness that always warms my heart. I have friends who have lost their mothers and it creates a void that nothing can really replace because mothers play such an important role in our lives.
I work as the Associate Director of Residential Services for CaringWorks, a nonprofit organization that works to end homelessness throughout metro Atlanta, and they have a goal to raise $10,000 toward programs and services—including quality supportive housing, behavioral health, employment assistance, and more—for mothers in the program who are working hard to improve their quality of life and circumstances.
I am trying to raise money to help CaringWorks reach its goal by Mother's Day on Sunday, May 14. Please consider making a donation as a meaningful way to honor your mother or her memory this Mother's Day.
